Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cashier to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions efficiently, and managing bank-related operations. This position is ideal for an individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for working with numbers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bank Account Management:

    • Open and close bank accounts as required
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure smooth account operations
  • Bank Reconciliations:

    • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly
  • Transaction Processing:

    • Process financial transactions, payments, and receipts
    • Ensure all entries are accurate and recorded correctly
  • Receipts & Journals:

    • Handle the processing of receipts and maintain accurate journal entries
  • Invoicing:

    • Prepare and raise invoices for clients and internal stakeholders
  • VAT Returns:

    • Assist in the preparation and submission of accurate VAT returns
  • Bank Correspondence:

    • Liaise directly with banks to resolve issues and manage queries
  • Ad Hoc Financial Tasks:

    • Support the finance team with additional duties as required
Person Specification:
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accurate data entry
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a finance, cashiering, or administrative role is preferred
  • Competence in using financial systems and MS Excel
