About the Role:

Search Consultancy is supporting a social enterprise company and is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger clerk to join their purchase ledger team in Manchester. This is a permanent role offering a salary of £24,000 per annum, with a hybrid working arrangement of one day in the office and four days working from home. Our office is conveniently located in the city centre, close to the train station.

Job Description:

You will ensure invoices are recorded promptly, accurately, and on the correct purchase ledger account. You will manage and resolve queries with internal and external customers to ensure invoices are paid. You will actively promote and ensure the P2P process is understood and strictly adhered to by all stakeholders. You will implement and follow through any changes to processes and transactions to agreed standards and timescales as well as identifying and escalating any potential debt risk or issues with service levels to both internal and external customers

Knowledge of Excel

Be able to work efficiently and to tight deadlines

Skills Required:

  • Need to know accounting principles and experience working with a computerised accounting package.
  • Experience working within a financial environment, with in-depth knowledge of accounts payable/receivable.
