Senior Accounts Payable Clerk

£25,000-£30,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a rapidly growing global organisation offering a range of services to the Professional Services sector globally. As part of their exciting growth plans an opportunity exists to join this business as a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk. We are seeking someone who will be responsible for the processing and payment of third-party supplier network invoices, amongst other key tasks listed below.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing and payment of third-party supplier network invoices
  • Matching POs to invoices
  • Validating the information on invoices, to remain accurate and compliant
  • Communicating with external suppliers, and also internal stakeholders
  • Dealing with queries from the business and suppliers on payments
  • Supporting the billing team to ensure that client recharges are captured
  • Providing cover for the Accounts Payable Accountant when on leave
  • Ensuring all accounts payable internal controls are operating and monitored
  • Resolving any escalated accounts payable issues or complaints received
  • Ad hoc tasks as required by the Accounts Payable Accountant and the Director of Finance Shared Services
  • Contributing to the development of the Finance team processes
  • Carry out such other tasks as you may be reasonably directed to do by the senior management team from time to time

Required knowledge, skills or experience

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk/Finance Administration position
  • Strong organisational skills, with a resilient 'can-do’ attitude
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience in using the following systems would be beneficial: Sage, SAP Concur
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills would also be beneficial
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and confident in communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels

The role is based from their Manchester office, offering hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
