Account Payable Assistant

We are working with Transport for Greater Manchester to find an Accounts Payable Assistant on a temporary basis. Hourly Rate: £13.91Location: Manchester, Piccadilly PlaceJob Type: Temporary (3 months), Full-time, Hybrid (2-3 days in office)We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team on a 3-month temporary basis. The role involves processing a high volume of invoices daily and offers the flexibility of hybrid working. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in accounts payable functions who are looking for a dynamic work environment. There is the opportunity to apply for the permanent position.Day-to-day of the role:-          Review and process supplier invoices and credit notes to ensure timely payments within contractual terms.-          Analyse purchase orders to resolve quantity variances and streamline the payment process.-          Resolve payment discrepancies with internal budget holders and update suppliers on payment issues.-          Process staff expense claims and company P-card payments according to internal policies.-          Maintain accurate supplier accounts and reconcile them regularly.Required Skills & Qualifications:-          Experience in invoice/data processing within an Accounts Payable function.-          Good working knowledge of computerised systems, including spreadsheets (preferably Excel) and word processing (preferably Word).-          Excellent verbal and telecommunication skills.
