A leading education organization in Manchester is looking for a proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to support their finance team on a temporary basis with potential for a permanent position.
The role involves tasks such as chasing suppliers for VAT refunds, reconciling supplier statements, and liaising with suppliers regarding refunds and aged holds.
Candidates should have experience in the Accounts Payable function and a good understanding of the P2P process, alongside excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and preferably an ERP system like Oracle is required, along with the ability to work independently.
The salary for this position ranges from £14 to £16 per hour, depending on experience, and includes an excellent benefits package with a generous holiday allowance.

This role is on a temporary basis, with the potential to permanent.Your new roleYou will be supporting the accounts payable supervisor and wider team;

Chasing suppliers forVAT refunds
Reconciling supplierstatement - requesting missing invoices and chasing invoice holds
Liaise with suppliers forrefunds of debit balances
Liaise requisitionerson aged holds

What you'll need to succeedYou will have:

Experience in Accounts Payable function
Understand P2Pprocess.
Excellent written and verbal communications
Comfortable using Excel, Microsoft Outlook, ERP system, Oracle preferable.
Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
