It is the perfect opportunity for you to have exposure to a variety of clients, from small firms to SME's, dealing with turnovers ranging from £50,000 to £500,000 whilst working within a strong local practice in the Lancaster area that is seeing constant growth with the opportunity to grow. This Bookkeeper job has arisen due to the constant internal growth within the firm.Your new JobYour new role will see you working day to day on Bookkeeping duties, from basic bookkeeping to the other end of the spectrum, supporting the accounts team. Day to day you will be helping prepare VAT returns, supporting the payroll team, completing self-assessment tax returns and confirmation statements. You will also be helping on a client basis as well, from CIS clients, to bookkeeping for clients and helping them with any problem solving and supporting them daily to achieve their best. It is a great opportunity to enter an exciting, growing firm at a junior level and work towards a senior level.What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you will need prior experience of bookkeeping within an accountancy practice. Experience with accountancy software will also be required with Xero and Taxcalc as this will be used frequently within this role. Also to succeed, you will need personal attributes to help you work to your best, such as motivation to achieve daily tasks, being able to multitask to achieve different task at all times.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive salary between £22,000 - £27,000, dependant on experience, whilst having the opportunity to be apart of a new, growing firm that can support you and help you develop as accounts professional.
