Your new firmYou will be joining a growing, leading independent firm in the heart of Bury who specialise in audit, accounts, tax, corporate finance and payroll. With over 60 years of establishment, this is a great opportunity to be a part of a leading firm, with clear opportunities for development and progress within accountancy. Their client base is predominantly SME's and OMBs. They have a strong focus in giving their clients the best services and excelling in all aspects of the process. This bookkeeper role has arisen due to organic internal growth within the firm, seeking to expand their team.Your new roleYou will be assisting the accounts team being surrounded by accounts professionals and seniors to learn and develop from. Your duties will involve bookkeeping for your own portfolio of clients, this being both office based and on-site, whilst maintaining relationships with this portfolio; to help with your clients, you will be utilising typical bookkeeping software's. Accounts work will also fall into this role, from assisting in the preparation and production of annual accounts, to preparing VAT returns and journals for payroll, prepayments, and accruals. Assisting and liaising with your seniors to provide advice and recommendations regarding your bookkeeping clients.What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you need to be fully AAT qualified or studying your ACCA qualifications whilst having experience within a similar role within practice, precisely a year. It is essential you have previous software experience. Good personal attributes are required from you, you need excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
