Operating in the R&D tax incentives space, my client is looking for a business development executive to join the team and further support their clients innovate in a consultative manner.

Services they offer include: R&D Tax Relief…encouraging clients to engage in innovative projects such as technology, new products and processes & go on to support them to qualify for R&D tax credits. Innovation is not niche…so you have free reign to target clients from so many different spaces, for example: Tech, AI, Engineering, Life Sciences etc. At a time where every business wants to stand out from competitors but not at significant cost…it's an incredibly exciting time to join the sector.

Joining a small team of 14 others, there will be great opportunities to learn from more experienced members of the team every day.

Training will be lead by the Director and will include role plays, classroom learning, workshops etc. As they plan to hire 2 x BDEs, you'll learn and grow alongside someone else too.

With a 'progress from within' mentality, you can expect your first promotion within your first 9 months with the basic increasing to £28K and promotions to follow…all the way up to Senior BD within 3 years!

You can expect a sociable culture surrounded by like-minded individuals. A social fund which can be spent how you choose…for example, last year they spent 4 days in Amsterdam. Regular lunch clubs, trips away, performance bonuses can also be expected.

The Role:

  • Attain a thorough knowledge of the business itself, the industry and their clients - become a market expert
  • Generate leads via outbound prospecting
  • Review and qualify target prospects in order to assess their suitability, based on key criteria, e.g. number of products and complex product data
  • Further profile leads to gain an in-depth understanding of how the service could add value to each organisation
  • Provide comprehensive and accurate information to the sales team to assist in the follow up of any sales leads generated
