My client within the Manufacturing industry, are looking for a Trade Marketer to work in an FMCG environment.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trade Marketer to support their brands in the UK retail sector. The ideal candidate will assist in developing and executing trade marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and foster strong relationships with retail partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Marketing Strategy: - Assist in the development and implementation of trade marketing plans and promotional activities to support brand objectives. Collaborate with the Senior Brand Manager to align trade marketing strategies with overall brand and sales goals.
  • Retail Partnership Management- Support the Commercial Team by building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail partners, including supermarkets, specialty wine retailers, and on-trade customers.Support the negotiation and execution of promotional agreements and in-store marketing initiatives.
  • Promotional Activities: - Coordinate and execute trade promotions, including JMPs & retailer media bookings. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Sales Support: - Assist the Commercial team with the development of sales materials, presentations, and product information to support retailer meetings and negotiations. Provide regular updates on market trends, competitor activities, and retail performance to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Market Analysis:- Work with the insights team to conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for brand growth and competitive advantage. Work with the insights team to monitor retail trends, consumer preferences, and industry developments to inform trade marketing strategies.
  • Budget Management: - Assist in managing the trade marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking of expenditures.
  • Collaboration:- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including brand marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and execution of trade marketing initiatives. Collaborate with external agencies and suppliers for the production of trade marketing materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in trade marketing, preferably within the FMCG Industry.
  • Strong understanding of the UK retail sector and wine market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
