Building Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Building Manager to oversee a stunning Grade A Listed commercial property located in the heart of the city. This role offers the chance to work with one of the UK's leading property management companies, renowned for investing in both their properties and staff. We are seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in a high-calibre environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a prestigious Grade A Listed commercial property, ensuring it meets the highest standards of maintenance, health & safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee contractor management, ensuring contractors are vetted, compliant, and delivering quality work on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage the service charge budget, ensuring financial targets are met and cost-effective solutions are implemented.
  • Implement and monitor Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives to align with the company's sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with tenants, building owners, and stakeholders, maintaining excellent communication to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and review property reports, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Handle emergency situations and resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in building management, preferably within a commercial property setting.
  • Strong knowledge of contractor management and the ability to coordinate and oversee various service providers effectively.
  • Sound experience managing service charge budgets and delivering cost-effective solutions.
  • A good understanding of ESG principles and how they apply to property management, with the ability to drive sustainability initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, contractors, and tenants at all levels.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding service and maintaining high standards in a high-profile, Grade A Listed building.
