My client, a Managed Services business, are looking for a permanent Business Analyst to make a significant impact on the clients business operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of projects and improvements across various business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Scope Definition: Work closely with stakeholders to clarify the scope and fully understand the business problem at hand, ensuring alignment with desired outcomes for successful project delivery.
  • Process Analysis & Improvement: Identify inefficiencies within existing business processes and develop strategies to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders across different business areas to understand their needs and identify opportunities for improvement. Facilitate discussions to determine how technology can support and enhance their business processes.
  • Information Gathering & Documentation: Use a variety of techniques, including workshops, to capture and document current processes, user stories, and future operational models.
  • Current Systems Analysis: Analyse and document existing business processes and system functionalities, leveraging multiple methods and data sources to validate information.
  • Solution Adoption: Ensure smooth adoption of new solutions by defining their impact on business capabilities, processes, and customer experiences, aligning with both business and IT strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement Focus:

This role will require a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Relationship-Building: Skilled at building and maintaining relationships with both operational and delivery teams.
  • Effective Communication: Capable of bridging the gap between internal IT teams and external solution providers to ensure successful systems integration and clear, end-to-end business process documentation (both technical and non-technical).
  • Business Process Expertise: Become the go-to person for business requirements and process improvements within key business areas, integrating closely with the team.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a similar role, preferably within a professional services or business advisory firm.
  • Proficient in a variety of analytical tools, including stakeholder analysis, process mapping, gap analysis, root cause analysis, and use case modeling.
  • Experience leading and facilitating requirements workshops with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to apply data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Experience in embedding change into operational environments, with the ability to offer coaching and support when needed.
  • Familiarity with the full IT development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of process mapping software such as Microsoft Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, or BPMN tools.

Desirable:

  • Partial or full ISEB accreditation in Business or Systems Analysis.
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, workflow platforms, and/or data platforms/BI & MI tools.
  • Hands-on experience with low/no-code tools such as Pega, Salesforce, Creatio, MS Dynamics, and Power BI.
