BI & Insights Manager

Up to £80,000 plus benefits

Location : 2x days a week in South Manchester

We are looking for a data-driven and strategic BI & Insights Manager to join a dynamic team & growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming & consolidating the Data Delivery department, helping to drive business decisions and improve performance.

You will work closely with key stakeholders across the company to ensure data is leveraged effectively to optimise operations and enhance customer experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for building and consolidating a high-performing BI & Insights team, fostering collaboration and driving excellence. You will also oversee the management of data delivery, ensuring that data infrastructure, governance, and accessibility align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the BI & Insights function, developing a strong data-driven culture, meeting the needs of Product, Operations and Commercial functions within the business

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reporting tools to provide meaningful insights.

  • Analyse large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth.

  • Work with stakeholders & develop relationships to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

  • Support strategic decision-making by providing clear and insightful recommendations, helping to also guide the direction of their data strategy

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all business intelligence platforms.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Build and consolidate a strong BI & Insights team, ensuring the right skills and structures are in place to support business objectives.

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in a BI, Data Analytics, or Insights role within a management capacity

  • Proven experience building & leading data focused teams, ideally within fintech, saas or financial organisations
  • Strong proficiency in BI tools including Power BI

  • Ideally you'll have experience with Microsoft Fabric

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into simple insights.

  • Experience with statistical analysis and data modelling techniques.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering innovation and best practices.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

  • Knowledge of data governance, architecture, and data management best practices.
