Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security of the academy.
  • Participate in a rotating 3-4 week on-call rota to support the estates team.
  • Maintain the exterior of the building, including planting, lawned areas, and paths.
  • Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs to the building's fabric, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Perform appropriate painting and redecoration tasks.
  • Assist with furniture movement for events such as parent evenings and student events.
  • Handle and dispose of internal and external rubbish, including recycling and confidential waste.
  • Unlock and re-lock bins for pick-up.
  • Assist teaching staff with basic tasks as requested.
  • Support the maintenance of heating and general services under the direction of the Campus Manager.
  • Manage traffic at the start and end of the school day to ensure safe student arrival and departure.
  • Maintain and store equipment safely, reporting any damage or required repairs.
  • Keep workspaces and storage areas tidy and organised.
  • Engage in professional growth activities and contribute to the trust's strategic goals.
  • Attend meetings and training as scheduled.
  • Implement trust policies and contribute to decision-making.
  • Report safeguarding concerns to a designated lead.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS check.
