We are seeking a Service Manager to oversee the operations of three semi-independent living facilities for individuals aged 18+ who are care leavers or in residential care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership within the care sector and experience with OFSTED regulations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the daily operations of three semi-independent living facilities, ensuring a high standard of care and support for residents.
  • Lead and manage a team of care professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the delivery of quality services.
  • Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and standards, maintaining an environment that meets all safety and quality guidelines.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the quality of service and promote the welfare of residents.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the facilities are well-maintained and that care practices meet the required standards.
  • Work closely with local authorities, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure the needs of the residents are met and their transition to independence is supported.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and staff scheduling efficiently to ensure the smooth operation of services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a managerial role within the care sector, preferably with care leavers or residential services.
  • OFSTED Level 5 Leadership qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing care facilities and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions in the best interest of the residents and the service.
