Are you an Operations Manager with strong communication and influencing skills? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with others to deliver a high-quality service? On behalf of a company offering high quality accommodation to both professionals and students across a number of sites within a five-mile radius close to Manchester, we are looking for an Operations Manager. This is a new role in a company that is developing and expanding to new sites.   Principle duties include: 
  • Managing a lettings team to ensure the maximum possible occupancy levels and ensuring that all correct procedures are followed in the arranging of tenancies.
  • Managing a maintenance team, assisted by a head of maintenance and the team to ensure that the buildings and grounds are always maintained and run to the highest standard. This will include developing sites along with planned and reactive maintenance work.
  • To be responsible for cleaning, health and safety and security of all the site and the grounds.
  • Plan and manage the summer change of student tenants, including the move in and out days and the welcome and induction of arriving students.
  • Working closely with the accountant and team to enable and support accurate information for management purposes.

  • Ideally you will have operational management experience within a property, residential, retail, facilities, or hospitality environment with excellent staff management skills.
  • You will have a hands-on approach, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others and build effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge, understanding and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • You will also have good level of IT skills and experience using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
