CLASS 1 DRIVER - NIGHTS

MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES BETWEEN

£17.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in the Carrington area.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• Need to be able to strap your load up safely to ensure the load doesn't shift in transit
• Operate and drive various class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK CE Licence (CLASS 1)
• Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
• Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving a CE vehicles.
• No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English.
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training

• Training provided on first shift
