Day to Day Duties
As an FLT, your duties will involve but not limited to:
- Driving/Operating a Reach Truck + Picking and packing duties
- Loading & Unloading trucks and containers using equipment provided in a safe and efficient manner.
- Moving and transporting stock into correct areas of the warehouse.
- Loading & loading vehicles and pallets.
- Receiving and unpacking incoming goods and taking inventories as required.
- Organising, wrapping, and securing stock ready for delivery.
- Stacking and stowing pallets away.
- Always adhering to health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
- Checking the quality of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Clearing work area of any debris and keeping traffic routes clear of obstructions.
- Reporting faulty equipment, damage to racks and or other safety hazards to the supervisor.
Essential Skills
The following skills are essential for this role:
- Valid Reach Truck License
- Good Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety.
- Punctuality and good time keeping skills.
- Strong Teamwork skills.
- Must be able to read and speak a certain level of English.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a challenging environment.
- Ability to pay close attention to details and adhere to deadlines.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within a warehouse environment would be beneficial.
What training is provided?
- Full training will be provided for this role, you will need to undergo an assessment.
