Hgv 2 Driver

Our client, based in Trafford Park, require an experienced HGV 2 driver.

Youwill be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods mainly within 15 miles of Trafford Park.

This involves moving components from unit to unit in Greater Manchester.

Responsibilitiesand Duties:

Safely operate a vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
Perform daily vehicle checks.
Adhere to driving regulations and safety standards at all times.
Load, secure and unload goods with care, ensuring proper handling.
Provide excellent customer service and pass on any inquiries or concerns from clients to the transport team.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations promptly.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members.
Uphold a professional appearance and demeanour while representing the company.
Demonstrate a proactive and solution orientated mindset.

The successful candidate will predominantly work an afternoon shift of 2pm until 10pm Monday to Thursday with a 15-minute unpaid meal break each day; and 12pm until 6pm on Fridays with no meal break (37 hours per week).

Experience/Qualifications/Requirements

Valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.

Valid CPC & Tacho Card

Proven experience as an HGV driver.
Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Solid understanding of UK road regulations and traffic laws.
Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively.
Strong organisational and time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Flexibility to work varied hours.

Candidates must be able to pass a drugs & alcohol test.

Hours of work:
