Job description

We are recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to carry out vehicle movements for a well know film and TV production company based in Manchester. The role is to deliver camera vehicle to filming locations, mainly around the North West but also throughout the UK. You will also collect, relocate and repatriate vehicles to their base so no multidrop.

SUCCESFUL APPLICANT WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE AVAILABLE EVERY DAY BETWEEN 7th OCTOBER AND THURSDAY 23rd NOVEMBER AND WILL WORK 5 DAYS OUT OF 7

You will be responsible for collecting the vehicle from Manchester and taking it to filming locations. Whilst on site you will be expected to help out with some light duties, if required.

At the end of filming you will return the vehicle back to base.

HGV Class 2 Driver will need:

• Cat-C Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
• Excellent customer service skills and good literacy
• Full UK Class 2 Driving licence, held for 1 year
• Able to work to tight deadlines

HGV Class 2 Driver Duties will include:

• Delivering “filming critical” equipment responsibly, safely and on-time
• Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
• Maintaining regular contact with Location Managers on ETA progress
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
• Dealing with Site Managers and location staff face to face in a polite and courteous manner

Successful HGV Class 2 Driver will receive pay of £13.50 per hour (£15.15 including holiday pay paid up front) with a higher rate of pay between 1800 and 0600am. Plus overtime will be paid after 8 hours work.
