HGV Class 2 Driver with Class 1 Cover
Location: Manchester M8 0GR
Salary: £16.36PH
Contract: Full time, daytime hours with an hour for lunch each day, permanent.
Tennants Distribution Ltd is a leading independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK. We are a subsidiary company of Tennants Consolidated Ltd and our origins go back to the late 1700’s when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland.
We are currently looking for a Class 2 curtainside driver to deliver chemicals (hazardous and non-hazardous) with occasional class 1 cover. Tail lift and semi-bulk chemical discharge deliveries will be part of your daily duties (full training given will be given). 7am to 4pm with overtime available. Overtime payable at 1.5hrs after 45hrs worked.

• To complete packed and semi-bulk deliveries
• Always adhere to company standards including good housekeeping
• Communicate effectively with customers
• Accurate completion of paperwork
• Adhere to company and sites Health and Safety rules, policies and procedures
Desirables:
• Must be personable with excellent customer service
• Be punctual and reliable
• Have clear communication skills
• Proven ability to make independent decisions as well as the ability to work as part of a team
About You:
• Hold a HGV Class 1 licence
• Be punctual & reliable
• ADR License required
• Be good at using your initiative
• Good communication skills
