ROLE – Graduate Chemical Engineer SALARY - £25,000- £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)TYPE – PermanentLOCATION – Greater ManchesterMy client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Graduate Chemical Engineer to join their team in Greater Manchester on a permanent basis.The Graduate Chemical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Ideally be BEng/MEng qualified in a Chemical or related Mechanical discipline
  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Design skills with the ability to design new processes
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Understands 2D and 3D CAD
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
  • Solving problems and improving engineering processes
  • Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans 
  • Liaising with other departments to manage such projects
  • Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met
  • Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment
  • Design equipment layouts
  • Maintaining technical documentation as required
  • Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry
  • Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
