Laboratory Technician

I am working on behalf of a dynamic chemical and polymer manufacturer based in the Greater Manchester area, to recruit a new Laboratory Technician into their forward-thinking team. As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for conducting various analysis on products and samples. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

As the Laboratory Technician you will have a HNC at minimum in Chemistry or a similar field. You will also hold relevant experience in a chemical laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to address quality issues.
  • Conduct environmental and analytical testing using advanced techniques.
  • Develop and implement quality procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Manage laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Perform routine checks and statistical analysis on equipment.
  • Report findings to aid production processes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar laboratory environment.
  • HNC in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong technical skills with knowledge of FTIR, GC, HPLC, and X-Ray spectroscopy.
