Our global key client has spent over 90 years enhancing building efficiency through innovative technologies, specialising in connected fluid flow solutions that provide real-time performance data and system transparency. Their offerings include advanced Design Envelope pumps and Active Performance Management systems, which help reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints while improving tenant comfort. Our client is committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, ensuring that their solutions not only optimise performance but also contribute positively to the planet.

Due to an exciting period of growth our client is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their commercial team in promoting and selling fire pumps. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fire protection systems, particularly fire pumps, and a substantial proven track record in sales management. This role involves developing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and driving business growth.

Reporting To: Sales Director, Fire Products

Key Responsibilities

Drive Sales Strategy and Growth:

  • Develop and execute impactful sales strategies to boost market penetration and meet revenue targets
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to uncover new business opportunities
  • Create professional quotations and proposals using our client’s ADEPT sales portal and CRM


Nurture Customer Relationships:

  • Foster strong connections with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and maintaining loyalty
  • Represent Our client’s in sales meetings and conferences as directed
  • Uphold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant national standards


Market Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Conduct regular market research to stay ahead of industry trends
  • Deliver comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management
  • Utilize CRM tools to track opportunities and develop winning strategies for all accounts


Optimise Sales Operations:

  • Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Manage sales budgets and resource allocation effectively


Foster Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to align strategies and maximize results
  • Maintain open communication with senior management on sales performance and opportunities

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automation) with sales or marketing focus; Master's degree a plus
  • Substantial experience in sales management, particularly in fire industry and protection systems
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Essential experience with fire pumps and fire protection systems


Skills and Attributes:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, CRM systems, and value/solution selling techniques
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed
  • Passion for process improvement and development
