As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining some already well-established relationships in and around the North West area of the UK in addition to new business generation. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will work as part of a team managing your own diary and be responsible for ensuring customer’s requirements are met.

Key duties and responsibilities: 

  • Operate as the key contact for accounts within your assigned area/region.
  • Continuously looking to maximise sales. 
  • Ensure allocated accounts run within the expected levels of margin.
  • Be reactive to account issues ensuring you seek satisfactory resolution for customers.
  • Targeted and strategic new business prospecting.
  • Support customers with planning and development.
  • New Product presentation and tasting. 
  • Host regular and structured depot and supplier visits with customers.

About you:

  • Previous sales experience within a similar FMCG business, preferably within the food sector.
  • Hospitality experience.
  • Customer care experience.
  • A good understanding of supply chain.
  • Strong IT literacy.
