Business Development Manager - Northern Region
Our client designs, manufactures and distributes an extensive range of energy monitoring products including multifunction power metres, current transformers, communication gateways and an industry leading energy monitoring software.
They are a leader in their industry, helping companies throughout the world monitor and manage energy usage to reduce both their carbon footprint and energy costs.
They are recruiting a Business Development Manager for the UK Northern region. The role involves working with a wide range of existing customers as well as identifying and securing new business to maximise revenue across their extensive range of products.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of success in a technical sales role and be skilled in both strategic account management and the identification and conversion of new business.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to move into the rapidly growing sustainability and renewables industry.
The package includes a competitive basic salary, annual performance related bonus (uncapped) and company car (hybrid).
Area covered from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to Cumbria and Northumberland
Objectives for BDM
- Drive Revenue - Ensure FY targets for all product categories are achieved. Provide updates on a monthly basis for performance v target. Identify pipeline, futures, and at once sales v targets.
- Build business around Key Accounts - particularly using Rayleigh Connect to generate cross selling opportunities for hardware. Report success on monthly basis.
- Secure business and create revenue from identifying and developing new Key Accounts to win orders from outside the existing account base.
- Work across multiple internal departments (product, technical, logistics, accounts) to ensure strong and positive working relationships to deliver best possible service and experience.
- Be a leader within the sales team. Demonstrate a positive influence within the team sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and being proactive in putting forward innovation to assist in the generation of revenue across all territories based on experience and success
- Demonstrate use of CRM to monitor account performance and report progress of individual accounts, product categories and territory
