This is a new business role, and can be home-based, travelling to clients in the UK..

As a Business Development / Account Manager you will need to grasp and communicate a technical solution with clients, work closely with the Product Development team, ensuring the product develops in line with customer expectations.

Business Development Manager - About the company:

My client are a high-growth technology company who supplies SaaS and IoT to numerous clients across the UK. They have created a new role for a Business Development OR Account Manager for their technical software product. They are a company built on a strong technical foundation.

Business Development Manager - Key Duties:

  • Generate sales revenue by selling their product to Social Housing customers / Providers
  • Achieve sales and data revenue targets
  • Prepare and deliver high quality proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Work closely with your Product Development to ensure the product is in line with company standards and customer expectations
  • Be first point of contact for all incoming sales enquiries
  • Look for business development opportunities through networking
  • Grow client base and get customers to increase expenditure
  • Update management with pipeline including potential wins / losses etc
  • Travel to new and existing customers predominantly based in a certain region within the UK.

Business Development Manager - Skills required for the role:

  • Preference for a background selling within the Social Housing Sector (Housing Associations/ Local Authorities)
  • Strong interest in technology
  • Ability to sell at Director or Exec level
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Willingness to keep abreast of emerging technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client facing skills
  • Ability to work remotely from home and as part of a team with initiative and drive to succeed
  • Strong customer service ethos
  • Proven ability to research and identify new customers and market opportunities
  • Must be able to work under pressure, prioritising effectively and meet demanding deadlines

The role will give you a lot of autonomy to implement your own selling ideas for the Product Suite and really help the company make their mark in this sector. You will be supported by the Product Development team, Marketing and Operations Lead, and be given some leads from other areas of the business. You will have regular meetings and reviews to ensure you understand the company aims and objectives for their products.

You will work with some innovative people and interact with other Managers focused with similar goals.
