This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Business Development Manager to further their career within the Logistics Distribution. The BDM will be accountable for driving sales growth and development in the Manchester area.

Description

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and increase sales.
  • Consistently achieve challenging sales and revenue targets, while monitoring performance and making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain high levels of activity to ensure a robust sales pipeline and generate ample leads.
  • Streamline sales processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Foster and strengthen relationships with customers to enhance retention.
  • Understand customer needs and tailor Walkers Transport's services to meet those requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure volume targets are met and customer retention remains high.
  • Regularly review progress with new customers to ensure sales targets are being met.
  • Establish service level agreements (SLAs) to reduce customer attrition.
  • Fully utilise the CRM system to track customer interactions and activity effectively.

Profile

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in field-based sales.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Clear and effective communication abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
