This company has some really exciting growth plans in place, and you will play a vital part in making it happen!  Initially covering customers in the North there is the chance for the patch to swell and grow across other parts of the UK. You will bring a strong background in either excavator and their various attachments or truck mounted cranes. As a Business Development Manager you will bring with you experience of selling into the scrap, waste, demolition and construction sectors. 

Benefits for the Business Development Manager:

  • Basic Salary of £45k to £50k DOE
  • Bonus - in year one this could be up to £20k
  • 25 days holiday

As the Business Development Manager you will:

  • Be tasked with creating new business revenue through innovative and creative marketing and networking techniques while account managing existing clients.
  • Working with the dealer network to develop key accounts and create new key accounts
  • Attend specialist and relevant trade shows where you will head up stands on a regional/national basis 
  • Making and taking sales meetings to introduce your product as well as building a customer portfolio and managing these on-going relationships.
  • Arrange presentations, proposals and negotiations.
  • Achieve and exceed allocated sales targets.
  • Hold a Full UK driving licence.

This would suit a candidate with external / field sales experience. You may come from either a Plant Hire, Construction Hire, Tool Hire, Powered Access, Cabin Hire, Welfare Hire or have an engineering / construction background. Heavy Plant Hire is an advantage.

To be successful:

You will have previously worked in positions such as an Account Manager, Sales Executive, Sales Representative, Field Sales Person, Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Representative, Key Account Manager, Major Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, BDM or related roles.
