Excellent opportunity for an ambitious salesperson to join the technical sales team at a world leading instrument vendor.

A leading multi-national entity, our client provides industry leadinganalytical instruments to scientific organisations across the globe. Joining their expanding commercial team, you will be responsible for the growth in sales of High-resolution MS systems to clients across all application & industry sectors including academic, pharmaceutical and research sectors.

As a Business Development Manager you will collaborate closely with regional sales and marketing teams, crafting strategic plans, and fostering strong relationships with customers. This will include:

  • Lead generation - Initial contact to understand client requirements and analytical challenges/goals
  • Technical expertise - Giving discussions and advising on product solutions
  • Sales support & enablement - input into the instrument demonstration process
  • Tactical sales planning - developing & negotiating sales and project completion
  • Product development input - guide enhancement of products through communication with customers & internal teams

You will provide a crucial interface between in-house teams and customers, ensuring the business responds to customer requirements and continues to offer the highest quality services and products to the market. You will attend and support events and conferences and remain abreast of competitor products and applications.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Minimum of a BSc in Chemistry/ Chemistry related subject or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years sales/BD experience in Analytical Instrumentation field
  • Practical knowledge/equivalent experience of Mass Spectrometry (High-res MS experience is advantageous)
  • UK Driver’s License & living within 90 minutes of an international airport
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills
  • Resilience and problem-solving skills

As a part of this role you will be expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
