Location: Field Based (Manchester across to Yorkshire upwards including Scotland)

About theDistributor Account Manager role: 

As our Distributor Account Manager, you will oversee a defined portfolio of distributor buying accounts within our prioritised segments. The primary objective of this role is to drive sales and profit growth by effectively leveraging our product categories and fostering strong relationships between our distribution partners and their customer base.

The key responsibilities of our Distributor Account Manager will include:

  • Achieve year-on-year growth in the assigned territory, meeting or exceeding budgeted expectations.
  • Develop and implement journey plans to maximize end-user engagement while minimizing travel time.
  • Ensure diaries are meticulously planned, with week 1 being 100% full and week 2 at least 70% full.
  • Manage and coordinate all allocated Distributor Accounts, gaining an in-depth understanding of each distributor and their market sectors.
  • Actively manage a marketing program with a fully costed portfolio and clear ROI KPIs, and attend exhibitions and trade shows as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in DSC, reflecting all levels of activity, end-user and distributor interactions throughout the sales cycle, with a focus on driving accurate forecasting.

Previous experience / knowledge required of our Distributor Account Manager:

  • Proven and extensive experience in a previous sales environment.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving relevant sales targets.
  • Proven track record of building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships

Competencies, behaviors and aptitudes required of our Distributor Account Manager:

  • Serious account communication – exceptional communication skills and an ability to build positive matrix relationships.
