This role focuses on fostering communication with key decision-makers, establishing long-term partnerships to achieve business objectives, and implementing strategies to replace competitor vehicles with the goal of achieving 100% supply. Additionally, the promotion of aftersales services, including parts and service offerings, is key to enhancing customer relationships. Collaboration with other national account managers is essential to ensure business continuity, share key customer insights, and support resilience within the team.Key Responsibilities of the National Account Manager
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to support continued business success.
- Network with key customer contacts to identify new business opportunities and anticipate customer needs predominantly with long- and short-term rental of vehicles
- Keep customers informed about the latest technologies and innovations to help them transition to electric and/or autonomous vehicles
- Negotiate agreements and contracts to secure favourable outcomes with fleet engineers, procurement and legal teams
- Prepare customer quotations, hire requests, order confirmations, and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of quotes and activities in the company’s CRM system.
- Support parts and service teams in identifying new business opportunities.
- Develop strategies to achieve full supply coverage where competitors are present.
- Collaborate closely with regional service engineers to enhance customer support.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage at a senior level.

- Strong negotiation capabilities, with the confidence to challenge when necessary.

- Deep understanding of customer needs to deliver tailored solutions.
- Understanding of logistics markets and capital equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data management.
Qualifications and Experience Required for the National Account Manager role
- Experience in national or key account management, preferably in a similar role.
- Background in the logistics industry or related sectors such as truck sales
- Proven track record in negotiating at a senior level.
- Experience in capital equipment rental and sales.
- Flexibility to travel as required, with occasional overnight stays.
- Valid UK driving licence.
