Regional Sales Manager - Generator Hire
Location: Midlands & North
Salary: 33,000 - 55,000 (DOE) + Commission + Car

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join a leading engineering firm that specialises in the hire of emergency diesel generators. This is a great chance to work with an established company, offering a comprehensive range of services including Sales, Service, Installation, Hire, and Parts for high-quality generator solutions.



About the Role:

  • Key Focus: Selling hire contracts for emergency diesel generators across the Midlands and North regions.
  • Client Base: Engage with a variety of clients including local councils, health authorities, utilities, government bodies, blue-chip organisations, and contractors in the electrical and construction sectors.
  • Sales Process: Identify potential clients, build and nurture relationships, present competitive offers, and manage the tender process from start to finish.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with an experienced sales team to drive regional sales and contribute to overall business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities within your geographical area.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients through regular visits and face-to-face meetings.
  • Understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and present competitive offers, negotiate terms, and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Provide regular updates and sales reports to the UK Sales Manager.


Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the sales of hire contracts, preferably within the industrial, commercial, health, and construction sectors.
  • Full, clean driving licence with the ability to travel regularly within your region.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
