Basic Salary £45k - £55k + generous bonus, company car, mobile, laptop, pension etc.

The Role

  • Lead and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to achieve business EBITDA targets.
  • Coach and mentor the ASM team to ensure they meet or exceed budgeted sales targets.
  • Set and exemplify high operational standards to enhance revenue within your region.
  • Develop new business opportunities and consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with managed account customers and key stakeholders to drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Oversee the performance and development of Area Sales Managers and their portfolios.
  • Ensure deep knowledge of our products and services among team members to effectively handle customer enquiries.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one reviews to enhance communication and identify training needs aligned with business objectives.
  • Support ASM team in preparing proposals, presentations, and attending customer meetings as required.
  • Analyse sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective strategies.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to enhance team motivation and sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure seamless operations and achievement of goals.
  • Achieve revenue and profit targets for the assigned area.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs for appointments, activities, and quote management.
  • Effective diary and time management to optimise productivity.
  • Strategic Thinking: Able to identify business potential and plan strategies considering technical and people-related issues.
  • Leading Change: Proactively drives change and supports colleagues through transitions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities for process enhancement and ensures timely execution.

  • Detailed understanding of crane hire and the mobile crane market.
  • Technical expertise in crane specifications and related business specifics.
  • Proven leadership qualities that reflect our company values and inspire team success.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills adaptable to different environments.
  • Effective people management skills with a focus on teamwork and collective success.
  • Proficient in delivering compelling presentations to prospects and clients.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Customer-centric with a deep understanding of customer relationships and business processes.
  • IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
