Due to continued growth this year, an exciting Sales Manager position has opened up at a hugely popular OEM, renowned for supplying workholding solutions to the CNC machine tool industry. We are seeking a Sales Manager with the ability to sell technical solutions to companies who manufacture through the means of CNC and automation. The ideal candidate will excel in creating opportunities and building new relationships with customers.

This role is fully remote working from home, as well as visiting customers on site, so flexibility towards travel is essential.

Responsibilities include -

  • To grow and develop the account base for the UK, working closely with the area sales managers
  • Managing multiple projects that have varying sales cycles depending on the customer and their requirements
  • Identify new opportunities, convert leads, and arrange visits with customers across a wide range of manufacturing sectors
  • Increasing sales and volume of end users of the product
  • Reporting sales figures and pipeline activity
  • Working closely with various partners to ensure relationships are maintained, and the products are being correctly promoted
  • Presenting to customers, offering technical solutions which are relevant to customer needs
  • Maintain regular contact with all current clients by completing after-sales visits and evaluations to review customer responses and secure further opportunities.
  • Work alongside colleagues and management to coordinate and deliver marketing campaigns, exhibitions and promotional events

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess -

  • Previous experience as a technical sales engineer, or business development within cutting tool, machine tool, or workholding equipment sector.
  • The ability to demonstrate features & benefits, and identify solutions to the end user whilst on site
  • A strong awareness of the manufacturing industry, as well as competitors and distributors
  • Excellent communication, leadership and customer-facing skills
  • Full UK driving license
