Our energy management system is a proven technology, reducing the gas consumption of our customers by an average of 43%. This year will see us enhance our product offering (energy measurement & analysis, Auditing, training etc) around a business all round utility spend, providing customers with products, but more importantly services that will allow them to become more energy efficient and ultimately reach net zero.
Sales Executive - Manchester Based - £24,000 - £28,000 (dependant on experience)

The Pilot Group are looking for a resilient, hard-working individual, with good research skills and the ability to learn on the job to play an important part of our business development team as a Sales Development Executive for our Pilot EMS Team.
What will you be doing as a Sales Executive?
You’ll be researching and identifying new customers via LinkedIn, Networking, Prospecting calls and email outreach.
You'll be responsible for generating new business in the markets and selling our products by making follow up calls and speaking to potential new customers. To be successful you will spend time researching your market and monitoring any trends and opportunities. You will receive full training and work closely with a director to set your own achievable KPIs and business plan.
Our training plan is second to none, we will share experience from people who have been in the business for years and our Training Manager will be your mentor and will guide you through the full sales process. You will be target driven and you will be motivated by getting a yes or a sale from a potential customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting and researching new customers that fit Pilot Groups customer profile.
- Qualification of self-generated outbound leads and inbound marketing leads.
- Using a CRM to nurture a pipeline of prospects and report on KPI’s
- Booking appointments and handing over new business opportunities to our account management team.
Sales Executive Essential Skills:
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Resilient
- Cold Calling Experience - Preferred but not essential
- Good rapport building
- Confident at speaking to new potential customers on the telephone
- Happy to work on your own or as part of a small team.
- Responsible, conscientious, and self-motivated
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Attention to Detail
- Fast learner to pick up a bespoke system
Sales Experience is preferred but not essential. If you are a recent graduate or fancy a career change and you have experience of working in a demanding customer facing role, can demonstrate you are resilient, we would love to hear from you!
We will give you full product and sales training. You will be assigned a mentor throughout the training programme to ask questions and receive support in your new role.
