The COMPANY: A highly successful specialist technology business, established 30 years. serving UK and export markets. The firm has been recognised with many industry and national trade awards.

The ROLE:A full-mix Manager remit to deliver a range of online and offline marketing activities, manage the budget and supervise a small team in addition to supplier agencies. This is a creative, commercially-driven and developmental role which offers the prospect of real career progression. Key responsibilities:

  • Strategy - contribute to the overall marketing strategy, managing the development budget, coordinating online and offline campaigns and customer loyalty programmes etc.
  • Product Marketing supervise the full product mix, including the research of new markets, channel management and promotional support for the overseas dealer/agent network.
  • Digital Marketing manage online/digital marketing, including PPC, lead generation, SEO, analytics, the online brand, ongoing website development and content. The support team includes a Digital Marketing Assistant and a Content Exec as well as a digital agency.
  • Communications and PR oversee corporate PR, customer comms, awards nominations, and all other publicity - managing e-shots, newsletters and case study production.
  • Event Management facilitate the companys participation in the flagship annual industry exhibitions in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia, with the firms event management partners.

The IDEAL CANDIDATEwill be a graduate and/or holder of the CIM Diploma (or similar) with a proven track record in a Marketing Manager role perhaps but not necessarily - with an industrial, engineering or manufacturing company. Prior experience of supervising a small team, campaign delivery and digital marketing are critical to the position. Strong all-round IT and interpersonal skills are also essential. You should be naturally creative and ideally have a genuine interest in leading-edge technology products and their application. You will need to lead from the front but at the same time not be too proud to get your hands dirty with the detail when necessary.

The role is office-based and located adjacent to the M60, easily accessible from north/south Manchester and West Yorkshire. Some UK and international travel will occasionally be required, including attendance at the companys southern office in the northern home counties approximately once a month.
