Position Summary:The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be responsible for the oversight and management of day-to-day operations, driving operational excellence, and scaling the company’s processes and systems as we grow. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's strategic goals, aligning operations with business objectives, and ensuring effective project delivery, client satisfaction, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company's growth goals and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Partner with the CEO and other executive team members to shape the company's strategic direction and ensure alignment across all departments.
    • Establish and maintain processes for planning, forecasting, and scaling resources.
  2. Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee the agency's project delivery lifecycle, ensuring high-quality standards, on-time delivery, and adherence to budget.
    • Implement operational KPIs and metrics to drive performance and monitor success across projects, resources, and budgets.
    • Continuously improve workflows, procedures, and systems to optimize resource utilization, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiencies.
  3. Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, developers, and other key staff to ensure effective project delivery and client satisfaction.
    • Work with HR to define and execute a talent acquisition and retention strategy that supports business needs and fosters a positive, productive work environment.
  4. Financial Oversight:
    • Collaborate with the finance team to set and monitor budgets, financial goals, and profitability metrics.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend actions to ensure profitability and sustainability.
    • Oversee project billing, budget tracking, and resource allocations, ensuring project costs align with financial objectives.
  5. Client Satisfaction & Relationship Management:
    • Collaborate with the sales and client success teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
    • Oversee quality assurance practices, monitor client feedback, and implement changes to improve client satisfaction.
    • Support the development of long-term client relationships and partnerships to drive future growth opportunities.
  6. Technology & Innovation:
    • Partner with the technology team to ensure alignment between technology initiatives and operational goals.
    • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the agency.
    • Lead the adoption of tools and technologies that enhance productivity, collaboration, and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA or relevant master’s degree is a plus).
  • 8+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within the software development or tech industry.
  • Proven track record of leading operational initiatives and scaling processes in a growing organization.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and familiarity with software development processes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage change.
