Associate Civil Engineer

Our client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy firm that offers a wide range of engineering, planning, and environmental services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join their Manchester office.

The company are a well-known nationwide consultancy and you would be joining a Civils team of 11 to sit between the Civils Director and the rest of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, commercial, residential, and education.
  • Managing the delivery of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team, providing technical guidance and support as required.
  • Contributing to business development activities, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and attending client meetings.


Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body (e.g. ICE).
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
  • Experience in leading and managing projects from inception through to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills in civil engineering design and analysis software.
  • Proven track record in business development, including identifying opportunities and preparing proposals.
