Building Physics Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multidisciplined consultancy who provide excellent energy and building services to client's construction projects across the UK. Their Building Performance lead is on the lookout for a Building Physics Engineer who is looking to progress to a Senior level for their energy team based in Manchester.

A Building Physics Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Produce general energy and sustainability strategies and reports for clients to minimise the environmental impact of their projects
  • Use IES-VE software to carry out overheating assessments, operational energy analysis, and daylight calculations
  • Produce EPCs and SAP assessments for non-domestic and commercial projects
  • Provide building energy consumption and embodied carbon advice across all stages of the design development process

The ideal Building Physics Engineer will have:

  • Relevant experience within a Building Physics role within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in IES-VE software to carry out energy modelling in accordance with CIBSE TM52, TM59, TM54, and Daylight Calculations
  • Experience delivering NABERS assessments and calculations
  • A Low Carbon Energy Assessor CIBSE Accreditation or working towards it would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
