Randstad Construction & Property is partnering with a national Facilities Management provider to recruit a skilled and team-oriented Fabric Engineer to join their team in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for performing both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on-site.

Location: Manchester (Static Role)Salary: Competitive (up to £33,000 depending on experience)Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (Monday to Friday)

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and address reactive maintenance requests
  • Complete maintenance tasks within specified timeframes
  • Communicate with clients regarding maintenance and repair requirements
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare Work Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned works
  • Carry out repairs to flooring and wall coverings
  • Handle ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • Perform general building and installation work as required
  • Maintain lighting systems, change lamps, replace filters in AHUs/FCUs, and assist with basic plumbing tasks
  • Complete reactive and PPM jobs efficiently
  • Manage minor project works

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Fabric Engineering or Carpentry
  • Proven experience working in high-profile environments
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in Carpentry
  • Competent in basic computer skills
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, and processes
  • Self-organized and able to manage tasks and material needs
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments, etc.)
