Our client an established multi disciplinary consultancy with an enviable client base and work across multiple sectors is recruiting a geotechnical engineer based out of their offices near Manchester, due to increased workload.

As a Geotechnical Engineer you will be working in modern offices surrounded by experienced and chartered engineers with plenty of support, and will be working on interesting and varied projects. The role offers hybrid working to suit youe lifestyle and provide a good work/life balance.

About you and the role

  • As a Geotechical engineer will be required to produce comprehensive geotechnical design and specification packages for all aspects of civil and structural engineering projects
  • You will undertake all aspects of geotechnical design work on a range of project sizes across the following sectors: Rail, Power, Highways, Defence, Aviation, Public Sector and Life Sciences. ·
  • You will be conversant with current technical codes, standards and responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations.
  • You will ideally have consultancy experience and have Geotechnical design experience ideally including shallow and piled foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, soil nails and rock anchors.
  • You will ideally be chartered or on a chartered plan, or looking to become chartered
