Graduate Civil Engineer

Location: Greater Manchester

Contract: 6 Months with possible extension

Rate : 25 per hour PAYE

Our major rail consultant is looking for a Graduate Civils Engineer to join their civils team in supporting Senior Engineers and Technicians in designing improvements to existing rail networks. As a team you will be ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently in regard to client and business interest. This role is an excellent opportunity for Graduate Engineers to progress their career within the rail sector.

Experience

  • Relevant degree, Class 2:2 minimum
  • An understanding of CDM regulations and safety standards
  • Knowledge of design principles and standards within Civil Engineering
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes
  • A good understanding of project delivery, budget and timescale.
  • Has used computer programs to assist design (Autocad ect.)

Key Accountabilities and objectives

  • To work and design on projects to client commitments
  • Delivery of tasks set to the right budget, quality and timescale.
  • Prioritizing and planning tasks efficiently
  • Understand the business requirements in regard to hours worked and project cost.
