About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a £4m mechanical package on a commercial office fit-out project in central Manchester. This exciting opportunity will involve overseeing the mechanical works, with a focus on air conditioning, ventilation, pipework, and HVAC systems.
You will be responsible for managing the project to completion, ensuring that all mechanical aspects are completed to the highest standards. Working closely with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers, you will ensure timely delivery, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all mechanical systems within the commercial office fit-out project, including air conditioning, ventilation, pipework, and HVAC installations.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of the mechanical works.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee procurement and delivery of mechanical materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, and provide technical support and guidance as needed.
- Monitor project progress and resolve any mechanical-related issues promptly.
- Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure that mechanical systems meet performance and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing mechanical projects, Ideally within the commercial sector but not essential (office fit-outs, refurbishments, or new builds) .
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, pipework, and HVAC.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or project management.
- Knowledge of current building regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
