We are recruiting a Building Physics Engineer to join our client's dynamic team at their bustling Manchester office. Our client values their employees as their greatest asset and is looking for motivated, innovative, and proactive professionals who are eager to embrace new approaches to work and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Energy modelling and building simulations
  • Managing projects for Part L compliance, CIBSE TM59/52 & AD O compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM54 Operational Energy, SAP assessments
  • Early-stage design modelling focusing on passive design strategies
  • Coordinating with the design team, statutory authorities, and contractors
  • Contributing to marketing and business development initiatives
  • Report writing and documentation

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in IES VE building simulation software (Model IT, ApacheSim, VistaPro, MacroFlo, VE Compliance)
  • Extensive experience in building physics, particularly energy modelling and building simulation
  • Expertise in Part L compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM59/52 overheating analysis
  • Ability to take initiative and manage projects proactively
  • Confidence in liaising with the design team and contractors
  • Strong communication, research, and analytical skills
  • Commitment to reducing carbon emissions within the built environment
  • Understanding of Building Regulations, energy codes, and planning requirements across the UK
