What's needed?

  • A good knowledge of structural engineering principles and relevant design codes of practice (Eurocodes), and the ability to apply these across all projects.
  • A good knowledge of structural engineering materials, to include steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • A demonstrable experience of working on UK based projects, in accordance with UK Building Regulations and other relevant UK standards, across a range of the main industry sectors such as industrial, residential, retail, commercial and healthcare.
  • The candidate must be a team player, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal English) and the desire to work collaboratively to achieve the best results possible.
  • Highly motivated, passionate and with an attention to detail.
  • Essential experience of structural design software including, but not limited to, Tekla Structural Designer & Autodesk Robot.
  • Good knowledge of BIM, and experience of delivering projects collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant degree qualification - BEng/MEng Civil/Structural engineering (accredited).
  • The successful candidate will be Chartered (or approaching) with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
  • The role will generally be office based, with a flexible working approach. Candidates may be required to travel around the UK to attend design meetings and site visits.
  • Full Driving Licence preferred.
