Senior Civil Engineer (5+ Years' Experience required)

A major nationwide multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with between 5-10 years' design experience to join their team in Manchester City Centre.
The company are a well-known and much revered practice with 14 offices with 700 employees across the UK and a large presence of almost 100 staff (all-disciplines) based in Manchester.
The Civil and Structural department are 25 strong and you will be joining a cohort almost 10 Civil Engineers of varying expertise with support at all levels. They're well-known for a great team ethic and a solid work/life balance and are looking for someone with 5-10 years' experience.
The ideal Senior Civil Engineer:
* Working within project teams
* Interfacing with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects i.e. architects, building services engineers, project managers and cost managers
* Representing Ridge at client and project meetings to present designs
* Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRA's), drainage strategies and other pre-planning advice
* Provide day-to-day client interface, conducting site visits for technical assessment or problem-solving
The skills and experience you need to have as a Senior Civil Engineer:
* Experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-disciplinary organisation
* Be a member of (or an aspiration to become a member of) the Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) or equivalent relevant professional body
* Good understanding of section 38, 278 and 104 agreements
* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and in particular Civil 3D
* A solid understanding of drainage design, SUDS, highways, cut and fill analysis
* Proven design experience which will be discussed / evidenced at interview
* Experience in drainage (foul and surface) and minor roadway design
* A good understanding of section 38, 278 (Highways Act) and section 104, 106 and 185 (Water industry Act) agreements
* Experience with designing a wide range of projects from conception through to completion (including calculations, drawings and specifications)
* Familiar with Part H and M of Building Regulations, British Standards and local authority requirements
