My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Civil, Structural and Water Engineering, is searching for a Senior Engineer to join a team of Flood Risk and Drainage specialists based in Manchester.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline and are close to achieving Chartered status. You will be required to have experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in Flood Risk, Drainage and Development Infrastructure.

You are required to have the drive and determination to develop new business opportunities with new and existing clients across the Manchester and have experience managing projects or promoting company services.

This exciting role will offer you the chance to join a team of experienced Engineers based in Manchester and across the UK. You will be expected to manage projects, mentor and train team members and develop new business opportunities spanning Flood Risk, Surface Water, Hydraulic Modelling, Water Resources and Drainage across the North West with both new and existing Clients.

You will be supported by the existing technical team and you will be heavily involved in Project Management, Project Co-ordination and Project Development.

Applicants will also be required to complete and check the following;

-Checking and amending Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3 for planning applications, Drainage Strategies, Designs and Hydraulic Modelling.

-Project Management and team management.

-Bid Proposals and Tenders.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Drainage Strategies.

-Hydraulic Modelling.

-Nutrient Neutrality.
