Our client is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join their team in Manchester, focusing on fluid mechanics for critical UK infrastructure projects.
The role requires managing a team for technical design work, preparing project briefs, and ensuring quality assurance standards are met.
Candidates should be Chartered Engineers with experience in multidisciplinary design and knowledge of hydraulic design for water and wastewater treatment.
Proficiency in industry-standard software like HADES, VARISIM, and WANDA is essential, along with experience in Design & Build.
The position offers a salary of £50,000 to £60,000 and requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Our client has an immediate requirement for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join their team in Manchester, to play a vital role in every aspect of fluid mechanics on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

Responsibilites of a Senior Hydraulic Engineer:

- Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.

- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.

- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.

- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.

- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

Experience Required for Senior Hydraulic Engineer:

- Chartered Engineer.

- Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.

- Sound Knowledge of hydraulic design of water / wastewater treatment plant design, pipeline design, surge analysis, and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.

- Experience of Design & Build.

- Experience in using industry standard software such as HADES, VARISIM, WANDA.
