Our Client is aleading Approved Inspector offering tailored building control services from design to completion.
Due to impressive growth they are now looking to addBuilding Control Surveyors within the Manchester areato support and build relationships with clients through proactive building regulations plans, site assessments, and inspections for diverse projects.
Key Duties include:
- Ensure ISO9001 quality and risk management compliance.
- Promote best practices in risk management for PI/PL insurance and Building Safety Regulator requirements.
- Perform RBI Code of Conduct activities to meet building regulations and standards.
- Mentor technical staff to maintain high standards.
- Support new product and service introductions.
- Attend necessary meetings/training and manageproject portfolios.
- Provide technical support to clients and team members.
- Optimise inspection visits and plan checks.
- Maintain accurate records and foster customer relationships and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Registered to 1 RBI orawaiting/undergoing an interview for level 2-3.
- Must be client-focused, technically astute, organized, and self-motivated.
- Full membership or near-chartership with MRICS, MCABE, MCIOB, MCICIOW, or similar in Building Control.
- Understanding of general insurance principles and terminology is desirable
- Capable of conducting inspections at each build stage.
- 5 years of relevant experience in Building Control, plan checks, site inspections, and warranty/defect resolution.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, associated legislation, and construction standards.
