A family motivated, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Building Control Surveyor to join their team and help lead on BSA PD compliance.
The Building Control Surveyor Role
The successful Building Control Surveyor will lead on BSA/Building Regulations PD compliance, ensuring that all projects adhere to the latest regulations and safety standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and other relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Leading the compliance process for BSA/Building Regulations PD on various projects.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on the Building Safety Act 2022 and building regulations.
- Conducting thorough inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborating with design and construction teams to address compliance issues and implement best practices.
- Preparing and reviewing reports, documentation, and safety files.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure clear communication and effective compliance management.
- Delivering training and updates on the Building Safety Act 2022 and building regulations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Building Control Surveyor, with a strong focus on compliance health and safety.
- In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and current building regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and manage compliance processes on complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in building control, surveying, or a related field.
